Crime Writers Association Daggers

The Crime Writers’ Association was founded in 1953 by John Creasey, with the aim to support, promote and celebrate both fiction and non-fiction crime writing. The Dagger award began in 1955 with its first winning title ‘The Little Walls’ by Winston Graham.

The long lists for all daggers, except for the Debut Dagger, will be announced at the CWA Conference in Brighton in April.

The Daggers shortlists will be announced on 10 May 2024 at Crimefest.
